Thelma Melton McCaskill

Graveside service for Thelma Melton McCaskill, age 87 will be held Saturday at 11:00 the Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home, Bishopville. Rev. Jack Cobb will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the church.

Mrs. McCaskill was born in Cassatt a daughter of the late Albert and Ruth Melton. She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and attended Mt. Hebron Free Will Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Surviving are one daughter, Angie (Travis) Threatt, Cassatt; one grandson, T.J. (Brittany) Hinson, Cassatt; two great grandchildren, Landon and Gavin Hinson, Cassatt; son in law, Andy Hood, Sumter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tally McCaskill; daughter, Lynda Hood; four brothers, Andy, Grady, Turner and Elsie Melton; three sisters. Ruby Faile, Sara Amerson and Eva Mae Melton.
