Funeral services for Lewis Everett Lear, age 70, will be held Thursday at 4:00 at the Clyde Church of God. Bishop Daniel Poston and Rev. Dennis Lear will officiate. Burial will be in the Clyde Church of God Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church and at other times at the residence of Crystal Winburn at 29821 Highway 151, McBee.

Everett was born in Hartsville a son of the late Lewis and Emma Lee Pigg Lear. He was a member of Clyde Church of God. He worked for 35 years at CP&L and later at Willamett in Bennettsville. One of his greatest passions was being the Founder and playing music with the Slope Valley Blue Grass Gospel Band.

Surviving are two daughters, Crystal (Jeff) Winburn, McBee and Brittany (B.J.) Munn, Hartsville; one son, Brad (Susan) Lear, Hartsville; three brothers, Randall Lear, Chesterfield, Rev. Dennis (Cynthia) Lear, Batesburg and Kenneth (Donna) L ear, Chesterfield; six grandchildren, Amber Winburn, Grayson Winburn , Emma Winburn, Bradley Munn, Mary Munn and Curtis Lear.

Memorials may be made to the Clyde Church of God 1813 Catawba Springs Drive, Hartsville, S.C. 29550.
