James McInnis

Hartsville, SC

James William McInnis, 73, of Hartsville, went home to be with his Heavenly Father, May 27th, 2020.

James was born in Hartsville to the late Frank McInnis and James and Marjorie Morgan Hutchinson. He was a graduate of Hartsville High School and Limestone College where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree. James was retired from Duke Energy after a lengthy career as a maintenance planner. He was a member of Greater Heights Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Second only to his love of the Lord was his love of his family.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 17 years, Patsy; as well as a daughter, Nicole (Bruce) Farmer (Hartsville, SC) sons James W. McInnis, II(Boone, NC)and Lance (Krysten) McInnis[BF1]  (Florence, SC). In addition he is survived by three brothers Donnie(Vidal) McInnis(Savannah ,Ga) Richard McInnis(Johnsonville, SC) and Ben McInnis(Texas). James also had four grandchildren Norman “Stormy” Kinsey, Kennedy Polson, Claire McInnis and Aubri McInnis.

Also left to cherish his memory are stepdaughters, Cindy (Allen) Brittain (Southport, NC) Shelia Alexander (Bishopville, SC) and Sharon (Alan) Newsome(Garden City, SC). Step grandchildren Brantley Farmer, Miranda (David) Register, Morgan and Maddie Brittain and Wade Newsome; step greatgrandchildren, Luke, Riley, and Carley.

Services will be 2:00pm Monday, Chapel of Norton Funeral Home, burial will be in Darlington Memory Gardens Cemetery.  The family will speak to guest briefly after the committal services at the cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Greater Heights Baptist Church.
