Services for Donald “Donnie” Allen Matthews age 63 will be held Saturday at 11:00am at Chapel of Norton Funeral Home.  Pastor Buddy Amerson and Pastor Danny Holley will officiate.  Burial will be In McBee Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5:00-7:00pm Friday at Norton Funeral Home.

Donnie passed away on December 25, 2019 at a local hospital.  He was born in Hartsville the son of Elizabeth Outlaw Matthews and the late Roosevelt Blann Matthews.  He previously worked at Sonoco Products Company in the Millrit Shop.  He was a sports enthusiast of all sports, enjoyed woodworking and in his younger years enjoyed his time dirt track racing.  Donnie was considered a neat freak, this could be seen with how perfect he would detail his car.  He was an avid jokester, and loved sharing those with the crew at Northside Auto Parts.

Left to cherish his memory are his mom from Hartsville, his loving wife, Cindy, from McBee; son, James Devin (Taylor) Matthews, Hartsville; brother, Billy (Jo) Matthews, Hartsville; sister, Linda Matthews, Hartsville; grandchildren, Kenleigh Barfield, McBee; step daughter, Laken (Kendell) Barfield, McBee; several nieces and nephews.
