Clenice Junius Winburn, Sr.

December 6, 1944 — February 6, 2021

Mr. Clenice Junius Winburn, Sr., 76, of Hartsville, passed away Saturday afternoon, February 6th, 2021, while at Carolina Pines.

A funeral service will be held at 3:30 on Friday afternoon, February 12th, 2021, from the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home.  Reverend Joey Oliver will officiate with burial following in the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends following the service at 2735 Mt. Olivet Road, Hartsville.

Mr. Winburn was born in Chesterfield, a son of the late William H. & Margaret Gainey Winburn.  Clenice proudly served the United States in the National Guard and later in the Reserves.  He enjoyed going to the beach and mountains; also loved hunting and fishing.  Clenice will be remembered as a supporting and loving father.

Surviving are his children: Clenice Anthony Winburn of Hartsville, Cameo (Marlin) Thompson of Hartsville, David (Yvonne) Winburn of Irmo, Joseph Winburn of Hartsville and Clenice Winburn, Jr.; companion, Virginia Gainey; 18 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings, Kitty (Joey) Oliver and Ellen Taylor; and several other extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Linda McFarland Winburn and Gene Marshall Winburn; daughters, Dawn Weier and Rhonda Winburn; a brother, Roy Winburn; and a granddaughter, Lauren Winburn.
