Wyman Preston Cole, III

Mr. Wyman Preston Cole III, age 85 went peacefully to his heavenly home on August 3rd while at Carolina Pines Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. Funeral services will be held at Lakeview Baptist Church on Saturday August 8 at 1:00pm. Reverend Ken Hughes will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church.

Preston was born in Florence, a son of the late Wyman Preston Cole Jr. and Maude Barbour Cole. He was a faithful member of Lakeview Baptist Bible Blazers Sunday School class. He worked at Sonoco Products company for 48 1/2 years in the Millwright Shop. He was a dedicated hard worker who loved everyone, and everyone loved him. He never met a stranger. One of his favorite hobbies was to fish at Wateree, S.C. and Lake Jordan in Raleigh N.C. where his ashes will be spread. His other favorite pastime was to work on his vintage cars, of which his was very proud. He loved watching classic country-western movies. He always had a project and never sat still.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 52 years, Mary Jane, two daughters Cynthia (Dustin Smith) of Archdale, N.C., Sharon (Ron Agresta) of Raleigh N.C., three grandchildren Taylor Smith, Cole Smith, and Jack Agresta. He is survived by two brothers Frank Cole of Darlington and Sam Joe Cole of Timmonsville, two nieces Athena Strickland and Crystal Kelly, one nephew Jody Cole. Preston had a special loving relationship with sister-in-laws, Peggy Joe Jordan, and Edna Faye Warr, who gave him much love and selfless care. Gone but never forgotten. Memorials may be made in his memory to Lakeview Baptist Church or Agape Hospice Comfort Care.
