William (Bill) Frank Dority, Sr.

William Frank Dority, Sr. age 90 went to his Heavenly Home on October 21 at Carolina Pines RMC with his loving family by his side.

Bill was born in Darlington, SC.  After attending school, he served in the US Navy.  After being discharged, he married and settled in Hartsville, where he worked as a machinist at Sonoco for 38 years.  He was a devoted husband for 57 years, and enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, camping, and tinkering in his shop. He was a member of Kelleytown Baptist Church. 

He is survived by his son Bill (Angela) Dority, Jr., son-in-law Jimmy Floyd, grandchildren Joshua (Valerie) Floyd, Anna Dority, Jacob Floyd, Daniel (Shauna) Floyd, Michael (Maddie) Floyd, 4 great grandchildren (Nevaeh, Nate, Nick, & Ollie), along with nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by Parents John S (Gladys) Dority, wife Juliet Dority, daughter Sharon Floyd, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am at the Kelleytown Baptist Church and officiated by Rev. Bill Dority and Rev. Lin Kirkland. Burial will be in the Magnolia Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday 5-7 pm at the funeral home.
