Vivian Brown Tyner

Hartsville – Mrs. Vivian Brown Tyner, 61, passed away Monday, December 9th, 2019, at Carolina Pines.

Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 on Thursday afternoon, December 12th, 2019, from Edwards Chapel Baptist Church.  The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

A native of Hartsville, Mrs. Tyner is a daughter of the late Harvey & Myrtle Caples Brown.  Mrs. Tyner retired from the healthcare profession as a CNA, having worked in several facilities throughout Darlington and Lee Counties.  She taught Sunday School Classes and Children’s Church for over 30 years.  Vivian will be remembered as a loving wife and mother.

Surviving are her husband, Reverend Johnny Tyner of the home; a son, Johnny Tyner, Jr of Middleboro, Florida; a grandson, Alexander Tyner of Hartsville; siblings: Ann Hicks of Hartsville, Valarie James of Hartsville, and Larry Brown of Bishopville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; children, Amy Charlaine Tyner and Angela Michelle Tyner.

In lieu of flowers, Vivian had quested that donations be made to the Darlington County Humane Society at PO Box 1655, Hartsville, South Carolina 29551.
