Timmy Atkinson

Timmy Atkinson, aged 61, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2026, at McLeod RMC in Florence, SC. Born in Chesterfield, SC, he was the cherished son of the late James Walter Atkinson, Jr. and Patricia Dixon Atkinson.

A man with a heart for adventure, Timmy found joy on the open road as a dedicated truck driver, often delighting his family with surprises from his journeys. His love for animals, especially his horses, and his passion for fishing and Sci-Fi movies, painted a picture of a life filled with simple pleasures.

Timmy's memory will be lovingly honored by his wife, Becky Atkinson; his children, Angie Cottingham (Shenard), Marie Delgado (Chris), Timmy Winburn (Kristen), Fran Pasquantino (Mario), Junior Davis (Rhyann); and his sister, Kim Funderburk (Lance). He leaves behind a legacy in his grandchildren, Keenan, Mariah, Johnathon, Taylor, David, Caleb, Addison, Haley, Danielle, Hailey, and great-grandchild, Kathleen.

He joins his parents and sister, Kathy Atkinson, in eternal peace.

Services of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Mac Atkinson, Jr. A time of reflection will begin an hour before. Timmy will be laid to rest at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery.
