Thomas Grayham Geddings was born on August 13, 1984, to Dale Y. Geddings and the late Thomas G. Geddings III. He was a loving son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle, and friend whose presence was a constant source of joy to those around him. Raised in Bishopville, SC, Grayham grew up surrounded by family, community, and a deep appreciation for meaningful relationships. He graduated from Lee Academy, Class of 2003, and continued to pursue his education, earning an Associate of Arts degree from the University of South Carolina–Sumter and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina–Aiken. His professional journey led him to serve faithfully as the Practice Manager for two MUSC Health-Primary Care facilities in Camden and Kershaw, where he was respected for his leadership, warmth, joy, and light he brought everyday into the office.
Grayham had such an eye for detail and created beauty wherever he went. His passion for design and elegance took form through flowers and celebrations. He started his own business called TG Events where his creativity would shine through gorgeous flower arrangements. Through countless weddings and special occasions, he blessed others with unforgettable moments shaped by his vision, poise, and exquisite creativity. His passion was more than decoration, it was an expression of his belief that life’s most important moments deserved to be surrounded by beauty and care.
To know Grayham was to feel welcomed and loved. He never met a stranger, greeting everyone with an easy smile and a spirit open to connection. His outgoing nature made people feel at home and his gift for listening made others feel connected and valued. He had a way of drawing out the best in people, of making them feel heard, understood, and cherished. Loyal, passionate, and deeply trustworthy, Grayham always sought what was best for the people he loved. He was selfless, often putting the needs and happiness of others before his own.
His joy and laughter were contagious. Grayham had a light about him that filled every room he entered with warmth and a spark of energy that lifted the spirits of others. His compassion ran deep, and his friendships were lifelong. He was someone people turned to for comfort, encouragement, and honest wisdom. His kindness left an imprint on every life he touched.
One of Grayham’s greatest joys was shag dancing. He loved the rhythm, the community, and the camaraderie he found with the Camden Lugoff Area Shag Society. His contributions extended far beyond the dance floor. He served on several committees, offered his leadership as board treasurer, and played an essential role in the annual Shag Blast event held during the Carolina Cup weekend. Through dance, he found both fun and fellowship, and he shared that joy generously with others.
Above all, Grayham treasured time spent with his family and friends. He was happiest in the company of those he loved sharing stories, laughing over meals, celebrating milestones, or simply being together. His family was his heart, and his friends were an extension of that family.
Grayham is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert F. Young; his paternal great-grandmother, Lottie H. Geddings; his paternal grandfather, Thomas “Bud” Geddings; and his father, Thomas G. Geddings, III.
He is survived by his mother, Dale Y. Geddings; his sister, Amanda G. Richardson (Christopher); his aunt, Ruth Geddings; his uncle, Hoss Young; and his grandmothers, Frances Young and Vera Horton. Also, his beloved nephews and niece; Kameron (Brandy), Kelsey, and Zachary Webb, as well as a great aunt, many cousins, and a multitude of dear friends.
Grayham’s life was marked by love, generosity, and a deep desire to uplift others. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he influenced, the beauty he created, and the joy he brought to every moment. He leaves behind memories that will be cherished forever and a light that will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew him.
