Stone Oliver, born on April 25, 2000, in Florence, South Carolina, passed away on May 30, 2025, at MUSC in Charleston, surrounded by his loving family. He was a cherished son, loving partner, devoted father, and a beloved friend to many.
Stone dedicated his career as a machine operator at Sonoco Products Company, where he was respected for his work ethic and his affable nature. Known for his fun-loving personality, he had an infectious sense of humor and a talent for making jokes, earning him the affection of everyone he encountered. Stone was a person who never met a stranger; his vibrant spirit endeared him to those around him.
He had a profound love for his family and friends, a bond that was evident in everything he did. Stone enjoyed spending his free time engaged in activities he loved, such as duck and turkey hunting, fishing, and playing golf. His hobbies reflected his adventurous spirit and brought him much joy.
Stone's legacy will continue to be felt by those who knew him. He is survived by his father, Danny Oliver of Hartsville; his mother, Tammy DeHart Eckel (Mark) of North Myrtle Beach; the love of his life, Savannah Turner of Hartsville; his daughter, Mia Grace Oliver of Hartsville; his siblings, Daniel Keith Oliver of Hartsville and Danielle Oliver Roberts (Jeremy) of Myrtle Beach; his nephew, Jensen Roberts; several aunts; and numerous cousins. He also leaves behind his best buddy, his dog "Hank," who was a constant companion to him.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at Norton Funeral Home and Crematory, located at 1414 West Carolina Avenue, Hartsville, SC 29550, on Monday, June 2, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Kelleytown Baptist Church, 2609 Kelleytown Rd, Hartsville, SC 29550, beginning at 4:00 PM, burial will follow the services at Westview Cemetery. Dr. Michael Madaris will officiate, directed by Norton Funeral Home.
The family looks forward to celebrating Stone's life and the joyful moments shared with him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
