Sallie Ann Mumford

Ms. Sallie Ann Mumford, 69, of Hartsville, passed away Wednesday morning, September 28^th, 2022, while at White Oak Manor of Columbia.

Her funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 on Saturday afternoon, October 1^st, 2022, from the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home. Reverend Hazel Mixon and Reverend Charles McLendon will officiate with burial following in the Savannah Advent Christian Church Cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  The family will be meeting at the home of Trancy & Marcus King, 1015 Ousleydale Rd., Hartsville.

A native of Lee County, Ms. Mumford was a daughter of the late William “Bill” & Addie Mae Davis Matuse.  Sallie loved working in the yards and sitting with her children on the porch.  She was a true people person who enjoyed seeing and talking with others.  Sallie was a retiree of Byerly Hospital. 

Surviving are her children: Trancy (Marcus) King, Cindy (Randy) Hutson, and Bobby (Debbie) Lewis all of Hartsville; grandchildren: Brittney (Mitchell) Hall, Samantha (Josh Farmer) Hutson, Kelsey (Caroline) Hutson, Tonya Barefoot, and Dalton (Morgan Jones) Lewis; great-grandchildren: Gavin Hall, Kaden Hunt, Dakotah Hunt, Camdyn Hunt, Bennett Barefoot, Ashlyn Barefoot, and soon-to-be, Braxton Ray Lewis; brother, Tillman (Joan) Matuse; sister-in-law, Cathy Matuse; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death her parents; siblings: William Matuse, Henry Lee Matuse, Jennings Matuse, George Matuse, Sr., and Alice Beasley.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to White Oak Manor, Crescent Hospice, and Melissa Goodwin & Mark Dunn for their loving care of Ms. Mumford.
