Mrs. Ruth Louvina Blackwell Gainey age 76 passed away at Carolina Pines RMC on Monday, May 20, 2019. The family will have a visitation of remembrance on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Norton Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00pm.
Mrs. Gainey was born in Hartsville the daughter of the late Horace and Christine Hall Blackwell. She was retired from Red Fox Apparel. After retirement she enjoyed being a caretaker for the elderly. She had a love for animals.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 57 years, Donald Junior Gainey, Hartsville; sons, Donald Junior (Nan Phan) Gainey, Jr., Charlotte, NC, William Horace (Donna) Gainey, McBee, Sandy Wilson Gainey, Pelzer; brother, George (Peggy) Blackwell, Hartsville; grandchildren, Blake Gainey and Brittany
Gainey; two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Maude Kelley and Taphina Nobles; brothers, Mack Blackwell, Ralph Blackwell and Carl Blackwell.
