Roy Lee Loyd

Funeral services for Roy Lee Loyd, Sr. age 82 will be held Tuesday at 2:00 at the Mt. Elon Baptist Church. Rev. Rob Brazzell will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Elon Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the Church Fellowship Hall.

Mr. Loyd was born in Achille, OK a son of the late Fieldon E. Loyd and Della Mae Littrell Loyd. He was a retired Truck Driver after 43 years of service with Fuller Motor Express, Thurston Motor Line and Burgess Transport. He was in the National Guard for six years.

Surviving are his wife, Miranda Stephens Loyd, Hartsville; two daughters, Margaret (Ted) Jordan, Hartsville and Mary Ann (Charles) Stephens, Hartsville; one son, William Allen Loyd, Stafford, VA; six grandchildren, Nick Jordan, Brittany Jordan, Billy Loyd, Brittany Loyd, Charles Stephens, Jr. and Barbie Stephens; two great grandchildren, Nori Loyd and Noah Thomas. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Roy Lee Loyd, Jr.
