Ronald Mixon

We are saddened to announce the passing of Mr. Ronald Mixon.  A visitation of Remembrance will be held Thurday afternoon from 5:00-7:00pm at Norton Funeral Home.

Mr. Mixon age 64 passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.  He was born in Hartsville, SC the son of the late China and Viola Miller Mixon. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend to everyone. He worked as a roofer his entire life and had a reputation of the best roofer in the area. He was an avid Gamecock fan and he loved hunting and fishing.  

Surviving are his children, Miranda J McLain, Hartsville, Denise (Dustin) Tedder of McBee, Dawn (Oliver) Segars, Hartsville, and Tara (Josh) McCathern of Hartsville. Grandchildren, Tori Mixon, Summer Munoz, Allie Mixon, Landon Tedder, Bryce Segars, Cannon Tedder, Kinsley McCathern, Gardner Segars, Brooklynn McCathern, and 3 great grandchildren, Roman and Ruben Munoz and Raelynn Mixon. Siblings; Joyce (Harrison) Wallace of Cheraw, Carolyn Sanders of Patrick, Gloria (David) Shoemake of Hartsville, Colleen (Ricky) Simmons of Hartsville, Cynthia (Mark) Cope of Advance NC, Lisa (Don) Tallon of Marion SC, Marie Atkinson of Hartsville SC, Trish Morris of West Virginia, sister in law Sheila Mixon of Mocksville NC, brother in law Eddie Freeman of manning sc , and close friend Anna Martin of the home.

Preceded by his parents, his wife, Beverly Mixon; brothers, William Mixon, Willie "Pee Wee” Mixon, Frank Mixon; sisters, Betty Freeman,  Hattie Sanders, Marilyn Ferguson, Janice Woods and grandson Trevor Lee Tedder.

The family will be meeting at his daughters residence, Dawn Segars,  208 Dunlap Drive, Hartsville, SC 29550.
