Robert Lyndal Gainey

Funeral services for Robert Lyndal Gainey age 85 will be held Friday at 2:00 at the Lakeview Baptist Church. Rev. Ken Hughes will officiate. Private burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services in the church.

Mr. Gainey was born in Hartsville a son of the late Lewis and Edna Ruth McInvaille Gainey. He retired from Dixie Cup in Darlington after 42 years of service and was a member of the Lakeview Baptist Church.

Surviving  are his wife Frances Hayden Gainey, Hartsville; three grandchildren, Tiffany (Dale) Newman, Hartsville and Josh (Miranda) Gainey, Florence. Sydney Corpuz; three great grandchildren, Adriana Newman, Braeden Newman and Jaxston Gainey; one daughter in law, Nell Gainey, Hartsville; one brother, Glenn (Jean) Gainey, Lexington; one son in law, Nestor Corpuz, Florence; one sister in law, Marie Gainey, Bethune. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert L. (Bobby) Gainey, Jr. and a daughter, Glenda Corpuz.
