Robert Dale Amerson

Funeral services for Robert Dale Amerson, age 62, will be held Wednesday at 2:00 pm at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home. Rev. Elliott Bryant and Rev. Marvin Griggs will officiate. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 5-7 pm at the funeral home.

Dale was born in Bishopville a son of Archie Lavelle and Dorothy Harris Amerson. He was employed with Suominen (Kendall Plant) in Bethune after 46 years of service. He was a member of New Life Worship. He loved to sing gospel music and playing the Bass Guitar. He was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather.

Surviving are his wife, Renee Gainey Amerson, McBee; his parents, Hartsville; one daughter, Amanda (Ryland) Cole, McBee; one son, Tony (Tabitha) Amerson, McBee;  three step-children, Chad Gainey, Devin (Ashley) Kelley, McBee and Justin (Robbin) Kelley, Hartsville; one brother, Thomas (Jackie) Amerson, Hartsville; four grandchildren, Sydney Amerson, Daylee Amerson, Ayla Cole and Kaylen Cole. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert (Robbie) Amerson, brother, Phillip Amerson and a nephew Rocky Amerson.
