Robert Carl Rotan

Memorial service for Robert Carl Rotan, age 66, will be held Wednesday at 2:00 at the Norton Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Earl Lee Rotan, Jr. will officiate. Visitation will be following the service.

Mr. Rotan was born in Fayetteville, N.C. a son of Nellie Faye Sawyer Rotan and the late Earl Lee Rotan, Sr. He was raised in the Assembly of God faith. He retired from Ina Bearing in Cheraw after 25 years of service. He was a Dallas Cowboy Fan and loved to play baseball. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and lived a very quiet life and was a very hard worker and took care of his family.

Surviving are his wife, Sheila Stokes Rotan, Hartsvile; two daughters, Jenni (Duane) Carlisle, Granbury, TX and Amy (Austin) Ward, Fort Worth, TX; one son, Robbie (Monica) Rotan, Fort Worth, TX; 10 grandchildren; three brothers, Rev. Earl Lee (Debra) Rotan, Jr., Darlington; Russell ( Brenda) Rotan, Santee and Stephen (Sandy) Rotan, Mauldin; brother in law, Dale Poston, Elgin. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Cindy Poston.
