Robert Benjamin "R.B." Logan

Mr. Robert Benjamin Logan, age 73, passed away peacefully at home early Tuesday, May 22, 2024 surrounded by family and friends. “R.B” was born August 31, 1950 in Camden, SC to Blank B. Logan and Lila Mae Huggins Logan. He graduated from Camden High School, and on April 9, 1970, he enlisted in the United States Army.  He valued his service in the Vietnam War and attained the rank of SP E5 Sergeant. R.B. lived by the words of Lee Greenwood, “And I’m proud to be an American, where at least I know I’m free. And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.” He took every opportunity to honor the country that he so greatly loved.

R.B excelled at not only being successful in the floor-covering industry, but also being an avid fisherman, and a specialist at cooking hot chicken wings. He enjoyed playing poker with friends and watching the Carolina Gamecocks- whether they won or lost. Most of all, he loved being at home with his friends, family members, and dogs; Rambler and Missi.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Cameron Murphy. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Brenda Logan; son, Greg Logan (Melverie), daughters, Crystal Arrants (Joe), Jackie Logan (Joe); grandchildren, Amber Dean (Chip), Tyler Logan, Destinee Logan, Darius Murphy (Sarah), Pete Murphy, McKenna Saverance (Patterson), Morgan Murphy, Daniel Garcia, Logan Arrants, Jax Garcia, Jake Garcia, 14 great-grandchildren; sister Lynette Stephens (William); brother, Curtis Logan (Elizabeth); and countless friends.

Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Friday from the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home, Bishopville Chapel. Burial will be in Logan Family Cemetery, 133 Donald Davis Road, Bishopville, SC 29010. Visitation will be Thursday, 5:00-7:00pm at Norton Funeral Home, Bishopville Chapel.
