It is with heavy hearts that we share with you the passing of Mr. Robert Timothy “Timmy” Huntley. Timmy passed away on Wednesday morning, July 15th, 2026, while at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center. He was 58 years old.
Timmy was born in Charleston, a son of Mary Lois Martin Huntley and the late, James Robert Huntley. At birth, he was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect, and the family was told not to expect him to survive. He not only beat all the odds predicted to him, but he survived and did all the things they predicted he would never do.
Timmy worked at South Atlantic Canners as a forklift driver in the warehouse for a number of years until he had to have his second heart surgery. After which, he was never able to return to work. When not in his work uniform, he was decked out in his hat, bandana, leather vest, chains, rings, and earrings. He enjoyed several things, including fishing, hunting squirrels, had a love for animals, sitting around a fire, fish fries, and grilling with friends and family. Timmy also enjoyed a cold beverage, Ozzy, KISS, or AC/DC blasting in the background. It became his new job.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his children, Timothy Lynn Huntley, and Kayla Denise Huntley; grandchildren: Acirah, Alvah, and Airee; siblings, Darron Huntley, and Robyn (Mike) Reynolds; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Also surviving is a very special friend, Sandy, whom he lovingly called, “Bambi.”
A celebration of his life will be conducted at 3 o’clock on Monday afternoon, July 20th, 2026, from the Bishopville Chapel of Norton Funeral Home. The family will be speaking with friends following the service at the funeral home. The family also invites friends to visit with them at the home of Mike and Robyn at 937 Ashland-Stokes Bridge Road, Bishopville.
Due to Agape Hospice’s loving care of Timmy, the family kindly asks that in lieu of flowers, please make donations to Agape Hospice at 187 N. Church St. Suit 201 Spartanburg, SC 29306.
Norton Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to be with Timmy’s family during this time.
