It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Michael Hartley, Jr. Michael passed away June 1 at Carolina Pines RMC.

Michael was born in Portsmouth, VA a son of the late Robert Michael Hartley, Sr. and Linda Osman Hartley. Michael served in the United States Army as a young man. He loved to enjoy good food and surround himself with family. When not on the road driving a truck, he would take time out to enjoy the great outdoors hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Joya Lea Hartley of 18 years; best friend of 20 plus years to Dirk Sandy of Georgia; stepson of Ohio; stepdaughter, son in law and three grandchildren of Louisiana; brother, James Hartley of Hartsville; sister Mary Hartley of Hartsville; Nephew Brett and Brandon Hartley and niece Lauren Hartley of Hartsville; two great nieces of McBee/Dillon area and many other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents named above.

Graveside services will be held Monday June 9 at 11:00 at Magnolia Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Rev. Brit Robinette will officiate.

A visitation will be following the graveside service.
