Memorial services for Richard D. Dixon age 69 will be 5:00pm Monday, October 24, 2022 at the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home.  Pastor Rickey Jenkins will officiate.  The family will speak to guest following the services. The family will be receiving friends Saturday and Sunday at the residence of Rebecca Floyd, 100 Bucks Lane, Hartsville.

Mr. Dixon was born in Hartsville the son of the late Buck and Margaret Freeman Dixon.  He enjoyed his career as a truck driver, loved buying up as much “junk” as he could, he would talk to anyone, never met a stranger.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Shirlene Dixon, Hartsville; children, Robin (Dwayne) Duke, Tallapoosa, GA, Rebecca (Joseph) Floyd, Hartsville, Richard Dennis “R.D.” Dixon, Jr. Hartsville; brother, Donnie Dixon; honorary daughter, Joann Gay, Heflin, AL; special friend, B.J. and Ronda Cunningham, Atlanta, GA; 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Timmy Bartholow, granddaughter, Gabriele Floyd, brother, Danny Ray Dixon; sisters, Diane O’Neal and Joanne Runey, special friends, Johnny and Margie Winburn.
