Reese Autumn Player, born November 25, 2003, in Florence, South Carolina, passed away on May 12, 2026. Reese was a radiant soul whose joyful spirit touched all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was known for lighting up every room she entered with her warmth and kindness, embodying a deep love for life and those around her.
Throughout her life, Reese was a happy spirit who embraced the world with open arms. She had a distinctive passion for bright colors and often delighted in wearing tie-dye shirts that reflected her vibrant personality. Her affection for animals, especially her beloved cats, was a defining part of who she was, and she held a special place in her heart for every creature she encountered.
Family was at the center of Reese’s life. She cherished the moments spent with her loved ones and was both a devoted grandma and a daddy’s girl, taking great joy in the bonds she nurtured. Reese loved dearly, and her memory will forever be treasured by those who knew her.
Reese is survived by her devoted father, Ken Player of Bishopville; her brothers, Matt Player and his wife Megan of Hopkins, and Ryan Player and his husband Danny of Columbia; as well as her nephew, Lincoln Player, and niece, Wrenley Player. These family members carry forward her legacy of love and happiness. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Sheila Davidson, whose memory remains a cherished part of Reese’s story.
A visitation will be held on May 24, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Norton Funeral Home and Crematory in Hartsville, South Carolina, located at 1414 West Carolina Avenue. This will be followed by a memorial service 3:00 p.m. at the same location, providing an opportunity for family and friends to come together to honor and remember Reese’s beautiful life. The family request that everyone attending the service will wear bright colors to the funeral in honor of Reese.
Reese Autumn Player’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of many, yet her joyful spirit and the vivid colors of her personality will continue to brighten the lives of those she touched. Her love for family, friends, and animals lives on as a testament to the remarkable person she was. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with great respect and affection.
