It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Eldridge McLeod "Pete" Jordan. Mr. Jordan went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 4th, 2026, at the age of 83 while at his home with his family by his side in Hartsville, S.C.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3:00 at the Bible Truth Holiness Church. Rev. Ryver Cook, Rev. Cory Byrd and Rev. Steve Winburn will officiate. Burial will be in the Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday 5-7 pm at the funeral home. Pete was a son of the late Eldridge Jordan and the late Mary Sue Jordan Mozingo. He retired from shell oil and later started his own oil company then years later he started his own steel and fabrication company which was his passion.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 63 years, Mildred Layton Jordan; His daughters Darlene Hall(Danny), Lisa Byrd (Myron),Tammy Jordan (Ed Hardee); Brothers, Leroy Jordan (Barbara), Joe Jordan (Bonnie); Sisters, Sara Smith, Emmie Sue Baird, Dot Johnson (Randy) grandchildren, Jordan (Heather), Brandon (Amy), Cory (Kristin), Chase, Chasidy (Yonis), Chance (Megan), Daniel, Heather (Braxton), Holly (Kelsey) Great Grands, Dillion, Ava, Kaylan Jax, Bryson, Harley(Dillion),Abbey, Mariah (Walt), Riley, Chloe, Christian, Blayden, Oaklynn, McCrae, Kameron, Clark, Madelynn, Gage, Jayden; one great grandchild, Mary Louise and one great great grandchild Remilynn, his pride and joy. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Pam Huckabee, brothers Bill Jordan, Kenny Jordan; sisters, Pat Duchock and Blanche Kelly.
