Peggy Boykin Johnson

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mrs. Peggy Boykin Johnson. Mrs. Johnson age 78, widow of Mr. Lide Hosea Johnson, passed away unexpectedly on September 4, 2026.

Peggy was born in Bishopville a daughter of the late Liston and Ida Mae Rogers Boykin. She was a loving mother, a devoted grandmother, and a wonderful friend to many.

Surviving is her three sons Chris Johnson, Craig Johnson and Travis Johnson; one daughter, Vicki (Mark) Shealy, all of Hartsville. Two grandchildren, Zoie Shealy and Fisher Shealy. two brothers, Joe (Welba Jean) Boykin, Cassatt and John Richard Boykin, Cassatt

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Billy and Alvin Boykin and two sisters, Paulette Hall and Alice Gardner

Graveside services of remembrance will be held 11:00am Monday, September 7, 2026 at Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will follow the services, and at other times the family's residence, 1724 Burnt Branch Road, Hartsville, SC 29550.  Mr. Jimmy Johnson will officiate the services.
