On November 11, 2021, Pauline Longfield passed away at McLeod Hospice House from a brief illness at age 63. She was born on May 19, 1958 to Beverly and Glenn Dilman in Madison, WI. She married John Longfield on May 15, 1982. She worked for Wisconsin Physicians Service in Madison for over 25 years and finished her career at Dean Health Plan in Janesville. She enjoyed lighthouses, square dancing, crafting, and theatre. She loved traveling to Door County as well as Galena, IL, with her family. John and Pauline were married for 37 years before his passing in 2019.
Pauline loved to see joy in other people in whatever way she could. She adopted numerous people into her chosen family. She would bring food and gifts to others. She would send cards to sick friends and comfort others when needed. She officiated 5 weddings for close friends and family. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her granddaughter.
Pauline is preceded in death by her husband, parents, nephew Ryan, and several aunts and uncles. Surviving is daughter Heather (Todd) Johnson of SC; brother Alvin (Lori) Dilman of WI; cousin Patricia (Richard) Fensake of WI; granddaughter Kimberly and several nieces and nephews. She is survived by members of her chosen family: Carol (Gary) Buss of WI, Rebecca (Darrin) Bergum of WI and Julie Didier of WI. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
