Norton Funeral Home is honored to share the following obituary as a courtesy to local family and friends.  We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the Huggins family; we ask that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers during the days ahead.

Paula Lee Huggins, age 61, of Aynor, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at McLeod Hospice House in Florence.

Paula was born in Conway, South Carolina, on March 1, 1965, a daughter of Paul Lester Perritt and Charity Lynn Perritt. She was a loving companion, mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend whose greatest joy came from the people she loved.

Paula had a love for life and enjoyed the simple moments that made special memories with her family. She loved spending time at the beach, traveling, working in her yard, and relaxing by the pool in her backyard. She enjoyed riding her bike and, most of all, spending time with her family. Paula especially loved watching her grandchildren play ball and proudly supporting them from the stands.

Her faith was an important part of her life. Paula loved attending church and cherished worshipping alongside her family at Conway Church of God. Her faith, love for her family, and warm spirit will forever remain a part of the lives of those who knew and loved her.

Paula is survived by her loving companion, Jamie Owens; her children, Ryan Miles (Taylor) and Brooke Miles Squires; her beloved grandchildren, Braylee, Blakelyn, Blythe, Owen, and Bailor, who were truly the apple of her eye; and her loving sister, Glenda Alford (Timmy).

Paula will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, her devotion to her family, her love of the beach and outdoors, and the countless memories she created with those closest to her. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Funeral services to celebrate Paula's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Conway Church of God. Burial will follow in Aynor Cemetery, directed by Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday, September 4, 2026, at Conway Church of God, and at other times at Paula's home.
