Paul William Pope

It is with sad hearts that we announce the death of Mr. Paul William Pope age 82. William passed away January 23, 2026 while at the McLeod Hospice House.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday January 28 at 11:00 am at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home in Hartsville. Rev. Keith Allison will officiate. Burial will be in the Piedmont Cemetery in Bishopville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

William was born in Bishopville a son of the late Paul and Maggie Godwin Pope. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Pipkins Pope, Hartsville; one daughter, April Kristina Pope, Hartsville. In addition to his parents. he was preceded in death by one daughter, Sherri Melissa Pope and one brother, Bobby Pope.

William serve in the Marines from 1963 -1968. He had three tours in Vietnam with an Honorable Discharge and the rank of Corporal (E-4).  William was in the Army after that until 1975 when he joined the Navy for two years. After that he came back to South Carolina where he became a Truck Driver until he retired.

William was a great husband and a wonderful Dad to our two daughters, Sherri M. Pope and April Kiristina Pope. Juanita stated she could not have had a better husband and father for her and the two girls than Paul William Pope.
