Celebration of Life services for Patricia Wadsworth McCoy age 73 will be held 3:00pm Wednesday at the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home.  Pastor Charlie Short will officiate.  Visitation will be Tuesday 5:00-7:00pm at Norton Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence of her son Chris, 469 Union School Road, McBee, SC.

Patricia Wadsworth McCoy went home surrounded by her family 10/24/2022. She loved her family more than anything in this world, and made it known that no one would hurt them. Her love of nature lead her to a long career in the US Fish and Wildlife services. In retirement she delighted in her grandchildren, her dogs, and watching her hummingbirds. She took great pride to record the first sightings of hummingbirds each summer.

She was a momma bear to her babies (Christopher George and Kimberly Anne), but when it came to grand babies (Sawyer Anne and Kalum Lane) she was on a whole different level of protection. Her love of family included extended family, Minnie and Kristen as well as, nieces and nephews. She was also a wife of 52 years to George McCoy and a sister to Becky Walker and Donna Wadsworth.

Preceding her in death were her parents Richard Henry Wadsworth & Letha Mae Wadsworth and her brother Richard Carl Wadsworth.
