Funeral services for Oddie Jackson Horton age 86, will be held Monday at 3:00 at the McBee Baptist Church. Rev. Richard Clark and Rev. Tim Williams will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Horton was born in Chesterfield County a daughter of the late Lonnie and Estelle Gainey Jackson. She was a member of the McBee Baptist church. She loved to read, play computer games, loved her flowers, loved her family and looked forward to a family gathering on every Thursday and loved to go with her family to the mountains.
Surviving are four daughters, Rita (Ronnie) Huggins, McBee, Karen Threatt, Jefferson, Susan (Sambo) Price, Jefferson and Carol (Chris) Sapp, McBee; one sister, Alice (Glenn) Johnson, Jefferson; one brother, Lynn (Faye) Jackson, McBee; 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; also surviving is her Fur Buddy, Prissy.
Mrs. Horton was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Jason (EJ) Horton, Jr.; one son, Larry Edward Horton; one brother, Ray Jackson; one sister, Lula Mae Newman; one grandchild, Kayla Price and one great grandchild, Kaegan Dampier; one son in law, David Threatt.
