Mrs. Linda Byrd

Funeral services for Linda Dority Byrd, age 66, will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Byrd was born in Hartsville a daughter of the late Press and Alma Stratton Dority.

Surviving are two sons, Sam (Betty Wilkerson) Melton, Hartsville and Henry Lee Melton, Hartsville; two sisters, Helen Carlton, Rockingham and Martha (Billy Ray) Jordan, Leland, N.C.; two brothers, Fred (Lois) Dority, Hartsville and Johnny (Hilda Jane) Dority, Hartsville; two grandchildren, Kevin Lee Byrd and Taylor Melton, Hartsville. She was preceded in death by a brother, Toby Dority and a sister, Peggy Hall.
