Mrs. Karen Herlong

Services for Mrs. Karen Keeter “KK” Herlong age 64 will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 1:00pm at Elmwood Cemetery and Gardens in Columbia, SC.  Bishop Don Childers and Bishop Daniel Poston will officiate, directed by Norton Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held on Friday, 4:00pm-5:30pm at the funeral home and at other times at the residence of Bryan and Amy Crowley, 960 Fox Hollow Drive, Hartsville, SC

Mrs. Herlong passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at McLeod Hospice House with her loving family by her side.  She was born in Charlotte, NC the daughter of the late Cecil H. and Nancy Jones Keeter.  She was an elementary school teacher, having taught at St. John’s Elementary and Washington Street.  Mrs. Herlong attended Edward Memorial Presbyterian Church and Lamar First Baptist Church.  She was an avid gamecock fan, enjoyed shopping and loved animals.

Surviving are her daughter and son in law, Amy (Bryan) Crowley, Hartsville; granddaughters, Gabrielle “Gabbi” Crowley, Hartsville and Victoria Crowley, Hartsville.
