Minnie Lloyd

Mrs. Minnie Lee Lloyd, 87, of Hartsville, went home to be with The Lord on Saturday afternoon, July 7th, 2018, at Morrell Nursing Center with her family at her bedside.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday in the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home with Reverend Alvin Rogers officiating.  Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery and the family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Also, the family will be receiving friends anytime at the residence of Melton & Lisa Lloyd at 3671 Middendorf Road in Hartsville.

Mrs. Lloyd was born in Hartsville, a daughter of the late Jackson & Mary Gainey.  Minnie Lee was a Christian lady who loved taking care of others; Proverbs 31 sums up her life.  She was a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church and later became a member of Lakeview Baptist Church.  Minnie Lee loved cooking; always having a pan of biscuits and sweet tea available.

Surviving are her sons: Melton Lloyd and wife, Lisa of Hartsville, Ricky Lloyd of Hartsville, Kenny Lloyd and wife, Michelle of Angleton, Texas; 9 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a brother, Tommy C. Gainey of Hartsville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Lloyd; grandson, Casey Lloyd, and several siblings.
