Milton Shrier

June 23, 1918 — October 25, 2017

Milton Delman Shrier, 99, of Great Cacapon, WV passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Envoy in Winchester, Virginia.

He was born June 23, 1918 in Brown City, Michigan, the son of the late Charles Delman Shrier and Mabel Wooliever Shrier.

Milt was a WWII Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army under General George Patton in Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe.

He retired from Chrysler, where he worked as a parts clerk, and he was a member of Paw Paw Bible Church in Paw Paw, WV.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 42 years, Schenulda Lump Shrier and his second wife of 21 years, Meritta Appleton Shrier.

He was also preceded in death by two infant daughters, one stepson, David Appleton and three brothers, Kenneth Shrier, Forrest Shrier and Sheldon Shrier.

He leaves behind –

Keith Shrier and wife, Georgeianna of West Grove, PA
Douglas Shrier and wife, Barbara of Great Cacapon, WV
Gregory Shrier and wife, Susan of Hartsville, SC

One stepson –
Robert Appleton and wife, Kathy of Baltimore, MD

He also leaves 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends and relatives at Kimble Funeral Home in Paw Paw, 188 Moser Avenue, Paw Paw, WV 25434 on Friday, October 27 from 5:30 – 7:30 PM.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 28 at Paw Paw Bible Church with Jeffrey Rossignol officiating.

Interment will be at Woodrow Cemetery.
