Mildred Steen

Hartsville, S.C. Funeral services for Mildred Brown Steen, age 82, who passed away December 28, will be held Tuesday at 2:00 at Lakeview Baptist Church. Rev. Ken Hughes will officiate. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5-7pm on Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Steen was born in McBee a daughter of the late William M. & Marie Edwards Brown. She was retired from the Darlington County School System and a member of Lakeview Baptist Church where she served as the Librarian and loved to cook for the OASIS. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Surviving are three sons, Ronnie (Margie) Brown, Hartsville, Mark Brown, Hartsville and Scott (Sonya) Brown, Barnwell; one sister, Ruby Johnson, Michigan; one brother, Billy (Sharon) Brown, St. Marys, GA; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.C. Steen and a daughter, Teresa Stanton. www.nortonfh.net
