Mrs. Mildred Adams Lunn went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday morning, May 16th, 2026, at the age of 90.
A native and lifelong resident of Hartsville, Mrs. Lunn was a daughter of the late Barney Adams and Alene Huggins Adams Teal. Mildred was truly a social butterfly, who never met a stranger. As soon as she would get up in the mornings, she would hit the road to visit with others. Even during hospital visits, she would become friends with the workers who cared for her. Mrs. Lunn was a giving lady. Once, she saw a lady walking beside the road with no shoes. So, she went to the store and bought a pair of shoes for the lady incase she ever saw her again. She was one of the oldest members of Gum Branch Baptist Church. Although she always greatly loved her family, during the recent past, her pride and joys were her great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her children: Lori (John) Easterling, Tony Lunn, and Theresa Davis; grandchildren: Sandy Lunn, Sally Lunn, Dedra Davis, Shannon Easterling, and Hannah Easterling; great-grandchildren, Huntley Phillips and Hadley Phillips. Also surviving is one sister, Jewel Campbell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Pete Smith and Wallace Cleve Lunn; siblings, James Adams and Jeanette Gainey.
Her funeral service will be conducted at 3 o’clock on Wednesday afternoon, May 20th, 2026, from Gum Branch Baptist Church. Reverend Scott Keith will officiate with a committal following in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorials may be made to Gum Branch Baptist Church at 1504 Clyde Rd. Hartsville, SC 29550.
Norton Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to be with Mrs. Lunn’s family during this time.
