Mary Mabe

Ms. Mary Katherine Mabe, 75, of Smithfield, North Carolina, passed away Sunday afternoon, April 29th, 2018, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina.

Mary was born in Mt. Airy, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Paul P. & Maretha Martin Mabe.  She was a lady who loved her family dearly and was devoted to their wellbeing.  Mary believed in being a “straight shooter.”  Her philosophy was, if you think it, say it.  One hobby she enjoyed was going fishing.

Surviving are her sister, Nancy Leverette of Smithfield, North Carolina, brothers, Jim Mabe and wife, Frances of Bradenton, Florida and Wayne Mabe of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; also several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Donald Mabe and Ann Mabe.
