Graveside services for Martha Katharine Welch, age 97, will be held Saturday at 1:00 at the Welch Family Cemetery, 2461 Northcutt Road, Hartsville. Rev. Becky Forrest will officiate. Visitation will be following the graveside service.

Mrs. Welch was born in Columbia a daughter of the late LeRoy Tillman and Sarah Agnes Denny Motes. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother and a friend to all. She had a love for gospel music, writing poetry and cooking.

Surviving are her husband of 73 years, Ernest Luvell Welch, Hartsville; two sons, Velda Ellis (Rhonda) Welch, Hartsville and Donnie Edward (Eloise) Welch, Hartsville; five grandchildren, Michelle Langston, Jenny Howard, Kitty Peterson, Michael Davis, Christopher Davis; nine great grandchildren, Cody Langston, Alexis Langston, Autumn Howard, Trinity Howard, Haynes Privette, Dempsey Privette, Emelia Davis, James Michael Davis, Jr., Kailyn Davis, Miranda Paul, Chase Cornwell, and River Peterson; one great great grandchild, Carson Langston.
