Martha Patricia Hunt

Martha Patricia Hunt, 72, of Hartsville, went peacefully to be with God on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at home surrounded by family after her battle with cancer. Martha was born October 15, 1950, in Washington, D.C. She was the daughter of the late James Edward Sullivan and Doris Denton Harrup.

Martha was a 32 year retiree of the Government in Washington, D.C. and Virginia as a budget analyst. She allocated funds to keep the Presidential Helicopter in flight. After 9 months "retired", she worked 5 years as a certified school bus driver for Queen Anne's County MD. She was feisty, but such a loving, caring and kind wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her sisters Doris Marie Sullivan, Mary Lou Trent, Judith Carolyn O'Sullivan and Jean Elizabeth Allen.

Surviving family members include her husband of 50 years, Terry Gale Hunt, of Hartsville; two daughters, Chandra Marie (Christopher) Jeppson, of Hartsville and Christina Renee (David) Funk, of Centreville, MD; her grandchildren, Breanna Lynn Funk, Haley Mae Funk, Ethan Christopher Jeppson, Alexis Marie Jeppson, David Kirk Funk, Jr, Hunter Kade Jeppson, Ryan Thomas Jeppson, Jamie Renee Funk and Leah Riley Grace Funk. Also surviving are her sisters, Frances Lorraine Haynes of Delaware and Patricia Ann Kraisser of Maryland, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Norton Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday May 28, 2023. Visitation will be at 1:00 pm with a service starting at 2:00pm. The family will receive friends afterwards at the residence at 331 Deerwood Drive, Hartsville
