Mamie Inez Altemose

Mrs. Mamie Inez Altemose, 86, of Hartsville, passed away Friday evening, June 12th, 2020, while at MUSC Health of Florence.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 on Monday afternoon, June 15th, 2020, from Darlington Memory Gardens with Reverend Marvin Griggs officiating.  The family will be speaking with friends following the service at the graveside.

A native of Fayetteville, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Ronald Edward & Inez McLamb Strickland.  Mamie was a loving and devoted wife and mother.  She retired from sewing companies.

Surviving are her son, Ronald Edward (Jeanie) Altemose of Columbia; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; siblings: Bill Strickland, Larry Strickland, and Roy Strickland.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Hoover Altemose; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn Rose and Byerly Hall; a great-great-grandchild; and siblings: Jimmy Strickland, Carl Strickland, and Delories Strickland.
