It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Mrs. Minnie Louise Wheeler, age 92, formerly of Raleigh, N.C. Mrs. Wheeler passed away April 3, at the home of her daughter Debra Lynn Steeves in Hartsville, with her loving family by her side.

Funeral services will be held Monday April 6 at 2:00 at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home. Rev. Ken Shifford will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be Tuesday April 7 at 12:00 Noon at Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh, N.C.

Mrs. Wheeler was born in Franklin County, N.C. a daughter of the late James Richard Dement and Fletcher Ross Dement. She got her GED in her early 40's and lived and worked in Raleigh, N.C. for 30 years.

After the passing of her husband she moved to Surfside Beach, S.C. where she was active in her church and local community. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, quilting, crocheting and knitting.

Surviving are two daughters, Anita (Tony) Tyner and Lynn Steeves; one son Craig (Deanna) Wheeler; one daughter in law, Karen Wheeler and a sister Faye Weaver. She has eleven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest B. Wheeler, Jr. (1992); one son Jimmy Wheeler (2020); son-in law, Stephen Steeves (2016); three sisters and two brothers.

Memorials may be made in honor of Mrs.  Wheeler to The First Church of God of the Reformation, 1823 Kelleytown Road, Hartsville, S.C. 29550.
