Louis Francis Wazney

     It is with heavy hearts that we share with you the passing of Mr. Louis Francis “Lou” Wazney. Mr. Wazney passed away on Thursday afternoon, November 5th, 2026, while at MUSC Health – Florence Medical Center. He was 61 years old.

     Born in Sumter, SC, he was a son of the late Edward Louis, Sr. and June Simrell Wazney. Lou loved to fish and enjoyed working on cars. He was truly a good-hearted person, who would do anything for anyone.

     He is survived by his wife, Amanda Hatton; children: Johnathan (Ashley Adams Hall) Wazney, Corey (Cami) Atkinson, and Christopher (April) Atkinson; stepson, Shane Hatton; grandchildren: Jack Atkinson, Elmer Atkinson, Jasper Atkinson, Christopher “Tunk” Atkinson, Jr., and Taylor Atkinson. He is also survived by one brother, Robert Wazney; and an aunt, Linda Clyde.

     He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Tammy Wazney; and a brother, Eward Louis Wazney, Jr.

     In keeping with Lou’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service.
