Lloyd “Tiny” Eldward Hicks II born December 20, 1965, in West Columbia, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on May 14, 2026 at the age of 60.

He was a resident of Bishopville, South Carolina. Lloyd was the beloved son of the late Rev. Lloyd E. Hicks Sr. and Raenell Hicks. He is now reunited with his parents in the presence of the Lord. He was a devoted and loving husband to Jennifer Hicks, with whom he shared 23 blessed years of marriage. He is predeceased by his loving parents, Rev Lloyd E. Hicks Sr and Raenell Hicks, Sister, Cindy Oswald, sisters-in-law, Denise Hicks and Bertie Hicks, brothers-in-law, Robert Oswald Sr and Carl Gabbard and Frank Frye. He is survived by his Wife, Jennifer Hicks, Mother in law, Carol Hunt and Aunt Dorothy Walker. His loving siblings: Gene Hicks, Mike Hicks (Barbara), Wayne Hicks, John Hicks (Judy), Joel Hicks (Sally), Debra Frye, and Elizabeth Gabbard. He also leaves behind 18 nieces and nephews and a best-friend, Tony and Noelle Marsh who will forever cherish his love and memory.

Lloyd lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service to others. He had a deep love for music, which he used as a gift from God throughout his life. He played in the bands Leatherwings and Living Proof and later dedicated his musical talents to worship at Kellytown Baptist Church in Hartsville, South Carolina, where he joyfully served and shared his love of the Lord. He also honored God through his craftsmanship and work ethic. Lloyd founded Country Hicks Woodworks, LLC, where he became known as a master craftsman, using his God-given skills to create with excellence, pride, and purpose.

Lloyd also found joy in the simple blessings of life—his family, woodworking, motorcycle riding, grilling and whipping it up in the kitchen and the love and companionship of his beloved pets: his dogs Princess and Monkey, and his cats. Nelson, Stevie, Peeps, Lucy, and Linus. Lloyd will be remembered for his faith in Christ, his love for his family, his heart for worship through music at Kellytown Baptist Church, and the work of his hands. His life was a testimony of devotion, and his memory will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know him. “Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23

Funeral services will be held Saturday May 16 at 3:00 pm at the Kelleytown Baptist Church. Rev. Dr. Mike Madaris will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. A private burial will be Monday May 18 at Celestial Memorial Cemetery in Columbia, S.C. directed by Norton Funeral Home of Hartsville.

The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff at McLeod Regional Medical Center Oncology and McLeod Hospice House for the love, care, and time they devoted to him during his final days. We would also like to give a huge shoutout to Kellytown Baptist Church and the Life Matters Sunday School Class for loving and caring for him like family. Your kindness, prayers, and support meant more than words can express, and we cannot thank you enough.
