Bethune, S.C. Funeral services for LaVaughn Deese McCaskill, age 86, who passed away December 24, will be held Thursday at 2:00 at the Bethune Baptist Church. Rev. Larry Frazier and Rev. Jeff Cockrell will officiate. Burial will be in the Bethune Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home, Hartsville. Visitation will be Wednesday 5-7 pm at the Funeral Home. Mrs. McCaskill was born in Angelus, a daughter of the late Henry W. & Ethel Horton Deese. She was a member of the Bethune Baptist Church and was retired from Mitchells Insurance Agency. Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Ralph T. McCaskill, Bethune; one daughter, Beverly M. (Jimmy M.) Farmer, Bethune; four sons, Winfield (Kathy) McCaskill, Bethune, Dennis (Martha) McCaskill, Jefferson, Michael (Robin) McCaskill, McBee and Kenneth (Sarah) McCaskill, Bethune; one sister, Elaine Swofford, Gaffney; 15 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren.
