Kevin Leroy Ward

It is with sad hearts that we announce the death of Mr. Kevin Leroy Ward, age 65. Mr. Ward passed away July 20, 2026 while at Carolina Pines RMC.

Kevin was born on March 3, 1961, in Charleston, South Carolina, Kevin was the son of the late William Rhodus Ward Jr. and Minnie Lou Sides McCoon. Kevin dedicated many years of his life to working in a shipyard and as a mechanic. He took great pride in providing for his three daughters, who were the center of his world. In his younger years, he enjoyed woodworking, fishing, drawing, playing in pool tournaments and riding his Harley-Davidson.

Kevin is survived by his three daughters, Tiffany Ward (Ted); Angel Sexton (Leo III); and Kimberly Smith (Douglas). He also leaves behind ten beloved grandchildren: Caden, Conner, Carri, Cloey, Clayton, Sophia, Aliyah, Logan, Leo IV, and Waylon. He is also survived by his sister, Lisa Thomas, and his brother, Chuck Ward.

In addition to his parents, Kevin was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Ward II, and his sister, Rhonda Moore-Smith. Kevin will be remembered for his love for his family, and the many memories he created with those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home in Bishopville. Rev. Keith Allison will officiate. Visitation will be from 1-2 pm with the service starting at 2:00.
