Funeral services for Katie Carleen Sandifer age 71 will be held Monday at 1:00 at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home, Bishopville. Burial will be at 3:00 at Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbia. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Sandifer was born in Moncks Coroner a daughter of the late Walker Lee & Annie Welch Smith. She was a member of Red Hill Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Surviving are two daughters, Laura (Tommy) Davis, Bishopville and Mellissa Lee, Neeses, S.C.; three sisters, Frances Lee Hayes, Bishopville, Alice Williams, Hopkins and Pat Conyers, Timmonsville; five grandchildren, Jessie Willard, Samantha Hamilton. Thomas Davis, Jasmin Davis and Jacob Davis; two great grandchildren, Rianne Davis and Braelyn Willard.. She was preceded in death by a son, Walker Ray Digges.
