Julius C. Mack, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on February 2, 2024, at the age of 70. He was born on August 23, 1953, in Bishopville, SC to Lee Mack Jr. and Lillie Mae Mickens Mack.

Julius had a fulfilling career that spanned different fields. He began his professional journey as a meat cutter at IGA grocery store. Later, he dedicated 34 years of his life as an engineer at Wellman Inc., where he worked tirelessly until his retirement in 2008. Julius's commitment to his work and his strong work ethic were truly commendable.

Outside of his professional life, Julius had many passions and interests that brought him joy. He was an avid fan of the New York Giants football team and the Atlanta Braves baseball team. His love for sports allowed him to forge connections with others who shared in his enthusiasm. Fishing was also one of Julius's favorite pastimes; he found tranquility and happiness by the water while engaging in this cherished hobby. Above all else, Julius treasured spending time with his grandchildren, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and love.

Julius received his education from Bishopville High School and graduated in 1974. The knowledge he gained during those formative years shaped him into the kind-hearted individual everyone knew and loved.

Julius will be deeply missed by his wife of 48 years, Anna Roderick Mack, who stood by his side through thick and thin. Their unwavering love for each other served as an inspiration to all who knew them. Julius leaves behind a legacy through his children: Stephanie D. Wright (Warren) of Austin, TX and Dr. Tracy R. Mack Powell of Atlanta, GA;  siblings: Ruth Chambers (NJ), Rosia Brown (Jimmy) of Columbia, Jimmy D. Mack (Linda) of Bishopville, Lillie B. Davis of Bishopville, Elma Henry (Ravis) (NJ), Beverly Mack of Rock Hill, James Mack (NJ), and Barbara Williams of Bishopville. Julius's presence will always be felt as their cherished memories continue to bring them comfort.

Julius's grandchildren held a special place in his heart and were a source of immense pride for him. Dr. Warren Brandon Wright of Austin, TX, Bernard Davis of Bishopville, Devin Wright of Augusta, GA, Aliyah Davis of Bishopville, and Kadesa Davis of Bishopville filled his life with joy and made every day brighter. Nevaeh Davis and Antwain Davis became Julius's great-grandchildren, bringing even more happiness into his life.

Julius is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who will forever carry the memories of his love and guidance. His mother-in-law Loriene S. Roderick; sister-in-laws Modestine McPhail, Gwenette Cage, Emma Jones; and brother-in-law Donnie Roderick (Betty) mourn the loss alongside the rest of the family.
