Joseph Michael Rivers

     We regretfully announce the passing of Mr. Joseph Michael "Joey" Rivers. Joey passed away on Tuesday, August 19th, 2025, at the age of 70.

     Mr. Rivers was born in Hartsville, a son of the late Joseph & Katherine Hutchinson Rivers. Joey will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather who was always proud of his daughter and her family.

     Surviving is his wife, Cathy Chisholm Rivers; daughter, Kat (Matt) Roberts; grandchildren: Stetson Roberts, Maggie Roberts, and Weston Roberts; siblings: Kay Watford, Kim Allison, and Ray (April) Rivers.

     He was preceded in death by his parents.

     A memorial service will be conducted at 1 o’clock on Saturday afternoon, August 30th, 2025, from the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home with Reverend Trae Smoak officiating. The family welcomes friends for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
