Johnny Ray DuBose

Graveside service for Johnny Ray DuBose, age 76, will be held Thursday at 11:00 at the Lucknow Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Rev. Jerry Brown will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 – 10:30 am on Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. DuBose was born in Sumter a son of the late James A. DuBose and Gladys Rogers DuBose. He was a member of the Lucknow Baptist church and had served as a Deacon. He served in the U.S. Army from 1966 – 1968 in the 25th Infantry during the Vietnam War.

Surviving are his wife Susan H. DuBose, ; one son, Dr. Jeffrey (Ashley) Hancock, Bishopville; one daughter, Dr. Jennifer (Steve) Knight, Kershaw; grandchildren, Haleigh, Hunter, Wesley and Avery; sisters, Pat (Michael) Ries, Bishopville, Mildred (Pete) Steven, Bishopville, Christine (Robert) Bryant, Manning, Grace (Ken) Toler, Sumter; brother, Jimmy DuBose, Bishopville. He was blessed with many loving nieces and nephews. Mr. DuBose was preceded in death by his brothers, Donnie and Alvin DuBose.
