John Lloyd Wall, Sr.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the death of our friend John Lloyd Wall, Sr.  John, age 77 passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022 while at Santee with his family.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held 4:00pm Tuesday at Emmanuel Baptist Church.  Pastor Jimmy Beck will officiate, directed by Norton Funeral Home and Crematory.  Visitation of Remembrance will be held 1:00-4:00pm Tuesday at Emmanuel Baptist Church.

John was born in Lilesville, NC the son of the late Stephen Graham Wall and Lucy Covington Morton Wall.  He loved his family, his favorite times were spent with them, he was there provider, as he was to many others that he loved.  He loved being outside, he was a proud member of the “Outdoor Club”.  He enjoyed hunting and was an avid fisherman.  John truly loved his place at Santee, he loved sharing it with family and friends, their home at Santee was affectionately known as the “Stumble In”.  He enjoyed his visits to Northside Auto Parts working “Security”, drinking coffee and hanging out with some of his dearest friends.  John was retired from Sonoco Products Company and was a US Army Veteran.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Dianne Shoemake Wall, Hartsville; son, John Lloyd Wall, II, Hartsville; daughter, Lisa Diane Wall, Hartsville, grandchild, Hunter Wade Nobles, Hartsville; brother, Bill (Myrtle) Wall, Lilesville, NC; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by siblings, Steve, Pat, Dot and Jim.

Memorials may be made the Ronnie Grant Memorial, C/O C.W. Grant, 1324 Fox Hollow Drive, this memorial is for lifetime hunting and fishing license for youth.
